And now my father is not allowing me. I wanted to know that is it bad\/sinful if a student spends their night studying?<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong><u>In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong><u>Answer:<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">It\u2019s not sinful if a student spends portions\/long hours of the night studying. We don\u2019t find anywhere in the Qur\u2019an or the Hadeeth where it forbids this type of activity. [Surah Room verse 23].<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Allah SWT also mentions:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">\u0648\u064e\u0647\u064f\u0648\u064e \u0627\u0644\u0651\u064e\u0630\u0650\u064a \u062c\u064e\u0639\u064e\u0644\u064e \u0644\u064e\u0643\u064f\u0645\u064f \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0651\u064e\u064a\u0652\u0644\u064e \u0644\u0650\u0628\u064e\u0627\u0633\u064b\u0627 \u0648\u064e\u0627\u0644\u0646\u0651\u064e\u0648\u0652\u0645\u064e \u0633\u064f\u0628\u064e\u0627\u062a\u064b\u0627 \u0648\u064e\u062c\u064e\u0639\u064e\u0644\u064e \u0627\u0644\u0646\u0651\u064e\u0647\u064e\u0627\u0631\u064e \u0646\u064f\u0634\u064f\u0648\u0631\u064b\u0627<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">And it is He Who makes the night a covering for you, and the sleep (as) a repose, and makes the day \u201cNushoor\u201d [Surah Furqan verse 47]<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Nushoor means waking up and going about one&#8217;s daily business whether it\u2019s a job\/studying after a night&#8217;s sleep. It also comes from the word that refers to the rising of all the dead at the Last Judgment \u2013 resurrection.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Sleeping is usually done at night, however, it is also possible to sleep during the day. Allah made the day for work and going out in search of food, and He made the night for rest, thus sleep happens at night and work happens during the day. Some students spend hours studying at night because there\u2019s less noise, that is fine and no sin shall occur.
