Is there any leeway for a woman to specifically fly without a Mahram, considering a Mahram will drop her and pick her up from the airport?<\/span><\/p>\n

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Answer:<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

This will not be permitted unless there is an absolute need such as an illness, death, unmissable appointment or the like. The Ahadith surrounding women only travelling with a Mahram are stringent and in place for the betterment of society. The Prophet (sallAllahu alaihi wa sallam) stated, “It is not lawful for a woman who believes in Allah and the Last Day that she travels the distance of a day and a night except with a mahram.” This equates to 48 miles according to today\u2019s measurement.<\/span><\/p>\n
