The imam went straight into ruku in witr without reading qun\u016bt. Some mu\u1e63all\u012bs not sure what to do went straight into sajdah without making ruk\u016b\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n

Answer:<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

When qun\u016bt<\/em> is missed during witr prayer, suj\u016bd al-sahw<\/em> (prostrations to rectify errors) should be rendered at the end of the \u1e63<\/em>al\u0101h<\/em>. \u2013 (Rad Al-Mu\u1e25t\u0101r, Vol 2, Page 10, D\u0101r Al-Fikr1<\/sup>)<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

When behind the imam, the muqtad\u012b <\/em>should follow the imam in all actions. If the imam makes a mistake, the male muqtad\u012b <\/em>can inform him by saying \u201cSub\u1e25\u0101n All\u0101h\u201d audibly while women can tap their hands. Doing so will prompt the imam to rectify the mistake and at the conclusion of the prayer, he will conduct the suj\u016bd al-sahw<\/em> (prostrations to rectify errors) with the congregation.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him<\/em>) said, \u201cThe saying of ‘Sub\u1e25\u0101n All\u0101h’ is for men and clapping\/ tapping is for women [if something happens in the prayer to invite the attention of the imam].\u201d \u2013 (\u1e62a\u1e25\u012b\u1e25 Bukh\u0101r\u012b 1203)2<\/sup><\/span><\/p>\n
