 <\/p>\n

Can saying numbers on their own count as divorce such as saying \u201ctwo\u201d when telling the wife how much about something like how many tablets if the husband is come over by sudden intention due to a mixture of waswas and anger at her?<\/span><\/p>\n

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful<\/strong><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Answer:<\/strong><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

When a husband wants to divorce, he would normally say \u201cI divorce you\u201d or anything along those lines\/to the nearest meaning.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

One mentioned a \u201cnumber\u201d in response to such a situation but has no correspondence whatsoever. It\u2019s not what a man would normally say if they wanted to divorce.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The sacred law of legal maxim states:<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u0627\u0644\u0639\u0627\u062f\u0629 \u0645\u062d\u0643\u0645\u0629<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cThe general (custom) is said to be the authoritative (decisive factor to consider)\u201d \u2013 So the custom is not mentioning divorce in the form of a number.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

And with regards to anger in a situation of divorce, if you uttered the words whilst in extreme anger so much so, you weren\u2019t thinking clearly etc. then the divorce does not happen as our beloved prophet SAW has said:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThere is no divorce and no manumission in the event of clear thoughtlessness.\u201d [Ibn Majah Hadeeth no: 2046].<\/span><\/p>\n
