In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Answer:<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It is impermissible to remove hair from the eyebrows, as seen in the Hadith below.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Alqama narrated: Abdullah cursed those women who practised tattooing and those who removed hair from their faces and those who created spaces between their teeth artificially to look beautiful, such ladies as changed what Allah has created. Um, Ya’qub said, “What is that?” `Abdullah said, “Why should I not curse those who were cursed by Allah’s Messenger \ufdfa<\/strong> and are referred to in Allah’s Book?” She said to him “By Allah, I have read the whole Qur’an but I have not found such a thing. `Abdullah said, “By Allah if you had read it (carefully) you would have found it. (Allah says:) ‘And what the Apostle gives you take it and what he forbids you to abstain (from it).’ (59.7) (Sahih Al Bukhari, 5939)<\/span><\/p>\n

Removing hair from the face refers to removing hair from the eyebrows (Fath Al-Bari, Vol 10, Pg 390).<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Regarding dyeing, it is permissible to dye the hair in any colour except black.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Jabir bin Abdullah (Ra) reported that Abu Qubafa was led on the day of the Conquest of Mecca and his head and beard were white like hyssop, whereupon Allah’s Messenger \ufdfa<\/strong> said: change it with something but avoid black (Sahih Muslim, 2102b)<\/span><\/p>\n

Ibn Abbas (Ra) narrated: The Prophet \ufdfa<\/strong> said: At the end of time there will be people who will use this black dye like the crops of doves who will not experience the fragrance of Paradise. (Abu Dawood, 4212)<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

There has been no specific mention of dyeing the eyebrows. Therefore, it is considered permissible. The black dye should be avoided as is the case with dyeing the hair on the head, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

One should ensure that the dye one uses does not create an impermeable layer over the eyebrows, as that would cause Wudhu and Ghusl to be invalid.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

To conclude, it is permissible to dye\/tint the eyebrows if it does not involve plucking hair from the eyebrows. One should not use black dye and should ensure that the dye does not create an impermeable layer over the eyebrows.<\/span><\/p>\n
