Is the saliva of a fox pure?<\/span><\/p>\n

The reason I’m asking this is that there is a fox that comes to our garden and will chew on various things. If it was to chew on the clothes that we hang out to dry would it need washing again?<\/span><\/p>\n

Answer:<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Fox belongs to the species of carnivore, and the leftover food of the beast is impure.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Therefore, the saliva of a fox is a severe impurity (Najasat Ghalizah).<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

If the saliva of a fox touches one\u2019s clothes or body, then the clothes or the body will turn impure, and if it spreads more than the depth of a palm then Salah will not be valid without washing it.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

However, if it is equal to the depth of the palm or less than it then Salah will be valid detestably (karahat). 1<\/sup><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n
