Can a woman change her place of Salah just for the month of Ramadhan and perform I’tikaaf there?<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful<\/strong><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Answer:<\/strong><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Allah mentions in the Qur\u2019an:<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u0648\u064e\u0644\u0627 \u062a\u064f\u0628\u064e\u0627\u0634\u0650\u0631\u064f\u0648\u0647\u064f\u0646\u0651\u064e \u0648\u064e\u0623\u064e\u0646\u0652\u062a\u064f\u0645\u0652 \u0639\u064e\u0627\u0643\u0650\u0641\u064f\u0648\u0646\u064e \u0641\u0650\u064a \u0627\u0644\u0652\u0645\u064e\u0633\u064e\u0627\u062c\u0650\u062f<\/span><\/p>\n

And do not have relations with them as long as you are staying for worship in the mosques. [Surah Baqarah verse 187]<\/span><\/p>\n

In the verse, there is a \u0642\u0631\u064a\u0646\u0629 (Indication) that only mentions men – \u0648\u064e\u0644\u0627\u064e \u062a\u064f\u0628\u064e\u0627\u0634\u0650\u0631\u064f\u0648\u0647\u064f\u0646\u0651\u064e “And do not have sexual contact with them (women) when you are in a state of I\u2019tikaaf in the Masjids,” which means “while you are in a state of I\u2019tikaaf in the Masjids.” In actuality, speaking to men exclusively excludes women. As a result, doing I\u2019tikaaf in the Masjid is not a requirement for women; instead, they do it at home in their places of sajdah as taken from the word (\u0645\u064e\u0633\u064e\u0627\u062c\u0650\u062f) place of sajdah.<\/span><\/p>\n

Itikaf should be performed where a woman typically reads her prayers. If this is not practicable or possible for whatever reason of late, she should identify a location where she will observe her I\u2019tikaaf by the will of Allah.<\/span><\/p>\n
