 <\/p>\n

If a woman checks late at night and predicts the period is likely to continue but didn\u2019t check just before Fajr and then in the morning it is clear, can they make an intention before Islamic midday?<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Answer:<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In the above-mentioned scenario, it will be considered that the purity happened in the night and so she should make her intention for fasting before midday1<\/sup><\/a>. She has started the day pure and so she should fast due to the end of period 2<\/sup><\/a>. As she became pure sometime during her sleep, it will be considered that her purity started from when she fell asleep (not at the time she woke up)3<\/sup><\/a>, so she should also make up the Isha prayer.<\/span><\/p>\n
