We have travelled to Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah. We entered the Kingdom 2 days before Ramadan began which was Thursday morning and Ramadan began Friday night for the first Taraweeh. Back home in South Africa, they only started the first Taraweeh on Saturday night. This means that we are now back home and we have fasted one more than the rest. The issue now is that the majority of people feel that Eid will fall on Tuesday which makes 30 fasts for the rest but 31 for us that started in Saudi. If this is the case, do we keep the 31st<\/sup> fast on Monday and make Eid on Tuesday with everyone? Are we allowed to keep 31 fasts? Please advise us as to what is the correct method. During Ramadan, fasting is necessary. If one changes country or time zones and it is still Ramadan where they have arrived, then they must fast that extra day.1<\/sup><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n
