Do you know anything about that or can you lead me to the source (shafee if possible, I know you follow hanafee mazhab.) Because we have been discussing it here and I can\u2019t get a straight answer if it\u2019s permissible or not.<\/span><\/p>\n

“The Prophet (\u0635\u0644\u0649 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0644\u064a\u0647 \u0648\u0633\u0644\u0645) used to practice Itikaf in the last ten days of Ramadan and I used to pitch a tent for him, and after offering the morning prayer, he (\u0635\u0644\u0649 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0644\u064a\u0647 \u0648\u0633\u0644\u0645) used to enter the tent.”<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Hafsa (\u0631\u0636\u0649 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0646\u0647\u0627) asked the permission of Aisha (\u0631\u0636\u0649 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0646\u0647\u0627) to pitch a tent for her and she allowed her and she pitched her tent. When Zainab Bint Jahsh (\u0631\u0636\u0649 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0646\u0647\u0627) saw it, she pitched another tent. In the morning the Prophet (\u0635\u0644\u0649 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0644\u064a\u0647 \u0648\u0633\u0644\u0645) noticed the tents. He (\u0635\u0644\u0649 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0644\u064a\u0647 \u0648\u0633\u0644\u0645) said, ‘What is this?” He (\u0635\u0644\u0649 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0644\u064a\u0647 \u0648\u0633\u0644\u0645) was told of the whole situation. Then the Prophet (\u0635\u0644\u0649 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0644\u064a\u0647 \u0648\u0633\u0644\u0645) said, “Do you think that they intended to do righteousness by doing this?” He (\u0635\u0644\u0649 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0644\u064a\u0647 \u0648\u0633\u0644\u0645) therefore abandoned the Itikaf in that month and practised Itikaf for ten days in the month of Shawwal.”1<\/sup><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

A woman can do Itikaf in the Masjid, but she needs permission from her husband. If however, he retracts after permitted, then he has the right to do so. 2<\/sup><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In the case mentioned above, a woman can do Itikaf in the Masjid with the permission of the Mahram, although he may not be present in the Masjid or in Itikaf.<\/span><\/p>\n
