I did some work for a customer. The customer will pay the total amount in instalments. Do I give Zakat only what has been currently PAID? Or Do I give Zakat what he is DUE to pay me as well?<\/span><\/p>\n

Answer:<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Zakat is only paid on wealth that is in your possession, until the customer hands over the money to you, you are not considered to be the complete owner of the wealth yet therefore you do not need to give zakat on what your customer has not paid you yet.<\/span><\/p>\n
