It is performed after the completion of <em>Isha Salah<\/em>. One has no standing over the other. The performance of <em>Isha Salah<\/em> is <em>Fardh<\/em> (i.e., compulsory) whereas, <em>Teraweeh<\/em> is from the category of <em>Naw\u0101fil<\/em> (i.e., optional <em>Sunnah<\/em> actions).
