Can one who performed Isha Salaat individually lead the congregation in tarawih salaat?<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In the name of <\/strong><\/u>All<\/strong><\/u><\/em>\u0101<\/strong><\/u><\/em>h<\/strong><\/u><\/em>, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful<\/strong><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Answer:<\/strong><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Teraweeh Salah<\/em> is independent of Isha Salah<\/em>. It is performed after the completion of Isha Salah<\/em>. One has no standing over the other. The performance of Isha Salah<\/em> is Fardh<\/em> (i.e., compulsory) whereas, Teraweeh<\/em> is from the category of Naw\u0101fil<\/em> (i.e., optional Sunnah<\/em> actions). [Radd ul-Muht\u0101r: vol. 2, pg. 492<\/em>] [1]<\/span><\/p>\n

Thus, if a person was to pray Isha Salah<\/em> individually then there would be no restrictions preventing them from then leading the Taraweeh Salah<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n
