Asking as I was having a conversation with a brother whilst walking to the Masjid. The pathway from my house is on the left side so I walk that way all the time normally.\u00a0 This brother told me to walk on the right side as that\u2019s what the prophet saw did. He was adamant that it was a Sunnah to walk on the right to the masjid and not use the left side at all.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">I didn&#8217;t want to say anything in that instance out of respect, but thought I\u2019d enquire about it.\u00a0 Is it an actual thing or is it counted as bid&#8217;ah?<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><u><strong>In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful<\/strong><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><u><strong>Answer:<\/strong><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Matters like this shouldn\u2019t be looked into too much if there is no evidence from the Hadeeth. We should refrain from using words like bid&#8217;ah at will.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">There is no mention of the prophet (SAW) or the companions walking on the right-hand side of the road as a constant action etc. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">But what is mentioned regarding our beloved prophet (SAW)\u2019s walking is:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">\u0625\u0650\u0630\u064e\u0627 \u0645\u064e\u0634\u064e\u0649 \u062a\u064e\u0643\u064e\u0641\u0651\u064e\u0623\u064e \u062a\u064e\u0643\u064e\u0641\u0651\u064f\u0624\u064b\u0627 \u0643\u064e\u0623\u064e\u0646\u0651\u064e\u0645\u064e\u0627 \u0627\u0646\u0652\u062d\u064e\u0637\u0651\u064e \u0645\u0650\u0646\u0652 \u0635\u064e\u0628\u064e\u0628\u064d \u0644\u064e\u0645\u0652 \u0623\u064e\u0631\u064e \u0642\u064e\u0628\u0652\u0644\u064e\u0647\u064f \u0648\u064e\u0644\u0627 \u0628\u064e\u0639\u0652\u062f\u064e\u0647\u064f \u0645\u062b\u0644\u0647<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">When he walked, he would lean forward, as if he was walking downhill. I have never seen anyone like him, before or since.
