I have been listening to many youths’ conversations recently and many conversations between them are regarding CBD and CBD businesses. It seems this market is going to take off soon in our communities. Is there any guidance in regard to this?<\/span><\/p>\n

Answer:<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In short, it is only permissible to use it for medication and not for leisure.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

CBD is one of many compounds, known as cannabinoids, that are found in the cannabis plant. Researchers have been looking at the potential therapeutic uses of CBD. Oils that contain concentrations of CBD are known as CBD oils. The concentration and uses of different oils vary.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Is CBD marijuana?<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

CBD oil is a cannabinoid derived from the cannabis plant.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Until recently, the most well-known compound in cannabis was delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). This is the most active ingredient in marijuana.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Marijuana contains both THC and CBD, but the compounds have different effects.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

THC is well-known for the mind-altering “high” it produces when broken down by heat and introduced into the body, such as when smoking the plant or cooking it into foods.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Unlike THC, CBD is not psychoactive. This means that it does not change the state of mind of the person who uses it. However, it does appear to produce significant changes in the body and has been found to have medical benefits.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

On the other hand, hemp farmers have not tended to modify the plant. It is these hemp plants that are used to create CBD oil.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It is only permissible to sell or use it for medical purposes if no other alternative is available and under the prescription of a reliable Muslim doctor<\/span><\/p>\n
