I\u2019ve heard taweez is shirk and haram. Is there any taweez that are permissible to wear and what type of taweez is impermissible?<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Answer:<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

A- If a Taweez contains words of Kufr and Shirk, invoke others besides Allah or one regards the taweez to be the ultimate Curer, then that is Shirk. It will not be permissible to wear such taweez or to have such belief.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

If taweez was a remedy for every issue there would have been no need for people to open shops and work hard, and for students to strive and score good results. Taweez is not meant for these types of needs. People have left out what they are supposed to do. Hence they begin to clutch onto every straw. The right thing was to develop imaan and yaqeen and trust in Allah. Then a person wouldn\u2019t need taweez.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

B- If one wears taweez that has verses of the Qur\u2019an and does not regard the taweez to be the ultimate curer, then that is permissible and that is not shirk.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Also, it should be remembered that everything happens by the will of Allah and the use of taweez is just a means similar to using medicine for illness.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The wearing of Taweez is permissible but it is best to abstain since the Taweez tends to shift one\u2019s focus of Tawakkul away from Allah Ta\u2019ala.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Best taweez is the Quran, Allah says:<\/span><\/p>\n

It is clear from the above, that the verses of the Quran are a means of physical cure as well as spiritual.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The best cure is that which has been prescribed by Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi wa Sallam). He has taught us that the recital of the three Quls (Surahs Ikhlaas, Falaq and Naas) and ayatul kursi daily after Fajr and Maghrib suffices against everything; whether it be black magic, Jinn, depression, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Recite this and other daily Masnoon Du\u2019aas with full faith and conviction and make plenty of Du\u2019aa for yourself. Also, recite the Qur\u2019an daily. If you do this, Inshaa Allah you will not need to see anyone for a Ta\u2019weez, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our problem is that we do not have enough faith in the words and instructions of the most truthful of mankind; Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi wa Sallam) but we want to resort to all other unnecessary means.<\/span><\/p>\n
