Tayammum can only be done when water can’t be found within a one mile radius.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The procedure for Tayammum involves three steps. Firstly, express the intention for Tayammum. Next, strike both hands on clean earth or dust, then dust the hands, blowing off any excess. Afterward, rub both hands over the entire face without leaving any space uncovered. In the third step, strike both hands on the ground, blow off excess dust, and rub the left hand over the entire right hand, including the elbow.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Once Tayammum is made, it’s permissible to touch the Quran with that Tayammum as long as no water can be found or there is a valid reason to do Tayammum as opposed to wudhu. It is not permissible to pray with that Tayammum if the intention for the Tayammum was solely to touch the Quran. If, however, Tayammum was made with the intention of praying, that Tayammum can be used for touching the Mushaf as well.<\/span><\/p>\n
