Is there any issue with a person standing on a pillow during Salah?<\/span><\/p>\n

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Answer:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It will be permissible for one to stand on a pillow during Salah. The pillow <\/span>must be clean and pure. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It is stated in Al Fatawa Al Hindiyya:<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cThe obligation (of standing) is fulfilled with the minimum action that the <\/span>term standing encompasses. The meaning of standing is that it should be in a manner that when one extends their hands, they do not reach their knees.\u201d (V.1 pg.69)<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

However, the pillow should not distract you from fulfilling the physical <\/span>postures of the prayer correctly.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It is essential to maintain the focus and concentration required during prayer. If this results in one losing their focus during Salah, then it will be undesirable.<\/span><\/p>\n
