I came across this from a young student of knowledge.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I\u2019d be interested in the narration in reference where Fatima (RA) would <\/span>engage in zikir on the Day of Jumu\u2019ah.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

If you can source the reference and comment on the authenticity.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Virtues of Jumu\u2019ah<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Rasulullah (Allah bless him and give him peace) said: & quote; There is such an hour <\/span>on Friday that if any Muslim makes dua in it, his dua will definitely b <\/span>accepted. & quote; (Bukhari, Muslim)<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The ulama have differed in specifying that hour which has been mentioned in <\/span>the Hadith . Shaikh Abdul Haq Muhaddith Dehlawi rahmatullahialayh has <\/span>mentioned 40 different opinions in his book Sharh Sifrus Saadah .<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

However, from among all these opinions he has given preference to two <\/span>opinions:<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

(1) That time is from the commencement of the khutbah till the end of the <\/span>salaat,<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

(2) That time is towards the end of the day. A big group of ulama have <\/span>given preference to this second opinion and there are many Ahadith which <\/span>support this opinion . Shaykh Dehlawi rahmatullahialayh says that this <\/span>narration is correct that Hadrat Fatimah radiallahuanha used to order her <\/span>maid on Fridays to inform her when the day is about to end so that she <\/span>could occupy herself in making zikr and duas.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

As mentioned in the query, there are 2 groups and opinions regarding this <\/span>time. The first group of people say that this time is from the commencement <\/span>of the khutbah till the end of salah. The second group of people say it is <\/span>after the Asr prayer towards the end of the day.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The proof of the first group of people is the narration of Abu Burdah wherein <\/span>he said I heard the Messenger of Allah (May peace and blessings be upon <\/span>him) said, It (the time of the acceptance of dua on Jummah) is between <\/span>when the imam sits for khutbah till the end of Salah. (Muslim:853)<\/span><\/p>\n

The proof of the second group of people is the narration of Abu Hurayrah <\/span>wherein he said that the Messenger of Allah (May peace and blessings be <\/span>upon him), \u201cThere is such an hour on Friday that if any Muslim makes dua in <\/span>it, his dua will definitely be accepted, and that is after Asr. (Ahmed:7631)<\/span><\/p>\n

Also the narration of Jabir wherein he said that the Messenger of Allah (May <\/span>peace and blessings be upon him) said, \u201cThere are 12 hours in the day of <\/span>Jummah, if any Muslim makes dua in it, his dua will definitely be accepted, <\/span>so search for it in the last hour after Asr. (Abu Dawood:1048)<\/span><\/p>\n

There are many other narrations that prefer the second view. However, I <\/span>have not come across the narration of Aisha engaging in zikr towards the <\/span>end of Friday. One may use that as virtue and to further show that this hour <\/span>of acceptance is indeed towards the end of the day of Jummah.<\/span><\/p>\n
