 <\/p>\n

During the tawaf for umrah, someone had a nose bleed. She continued without stopping for wudu and finished the umrah.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Would there be any Damm?<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

She did a second umrah afterwards as well during the same trip.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Answer:<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Bleeding from an injury such as the nose or elsewhere does not affect the validity of the ritual state of Umrah, i.e. Ihram<\/em>. However, if the blood has exited and flowed from inside the nose to the soft part of the nose, then ablution (wudhu)<\/em> is invalidated. In this situation, the pilgrim would have been required to leave the ritual of circumambulation of the Kabah (Tawaf<\/em>), to wash off the blood and renew the ablution (wudhu<\/em>) to continue.  <\/p>\n

To perform the Tawaf<\/em> of Umrah<\/em> with minor impurity (Najasah<\/em>) on the body or clothes is disliked (Makruh<\/em>) but it doesn\u2019t necessitate a penalty. However, to perform Tawaf<\/em> in a state without wudhu<\/em> requires for a penalty (Damm<\/em>) to be paid. It is recommended in this situation to repeat and perform the Tawaf<\/em> in the correct manner, repeating the action would have waived the penalty.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In this person\u2019s case this was not done, thus it would be advisable to pay the penalty of Damm<\/em> which is the sacrifice of a goat or a sheep which has become wajib <\/em>for the first Umrah<\/em>. [2]<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The animal should be slaughtered in the Haram and its meat should be distributed to the poor and needy.\u00a0This action would ensure the completion of the Umrah<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n
