A man married a woman and the woman has 2 daughters from a previous marriage.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The woman now divorced her new husband, the stepfather was a mahram for the girls and remains a mahram for the rest of their life.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

This mahram is only for not being able to marry them right?<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

He wouldn’t be eligible to enjoy any other facility etc, like the daughters shouldn’t go out with him, the daughters can’t do umrah with him etc as their mother divorced him and is a stranger now<\/span><\/p>\n

Legally, a step-father is mahram<\/em> to a girl even though he has divorced his wife. She can travel with him like going for umr\u0101h<\/em>. If there is a fear of fitn\u0101h<\/em> then she can be moved to another mahram\u2019s<\/em> house. Otherwise, there is no problem if he takes the daughters for umr\u0101h<\/em> with him etc. Legally he is still a mahram<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n
