Doubts in passing wind<\/h1>\n

In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent, the most Merciful. \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Answer <\/strong><\/h1>\n

If one is certain that he has passed wind through the anus then it will be necessary to repeat the wudhu. However if one has a doubt of whether he had passed wind or not then his wudhu will still be considered intact.<\/p>\n

(Fatawa Hindiyyah p.8 v.1)<\/p>\n

There is a principle in Islamic jurisprudence which is:<\/p>\n

\u201cCertainty is not lifted by a doubt.\u201d (Al Ashbah Wan Nadhair p.60)<\/p>\n

Therefore if one was doubtful and uncertain of breaking his wudhu then such a doubt will not invalidate one\u2019s wudhu, as the certainty of wudhu will not be lifted by the doubt of breaking his wudhu.<\/p>\n
