Would it be haram for me to look at someone who does qaza with their hair or something like that?<\/span><\/p>\n

Answer:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Abdullah ibn Umar narrated: <\/span>The Prophet (\ufdfa) saw a boy with part of his head shaved and part left unshaven. He forbade them to do that, saying: Shave it all or leave it all.<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

[Sunan Abi Dawud, 4195] <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Thus, we can see that qaza, that is to shave certain areas of the head whilst leaving hair on certain areas, has been explicitly forbidden by our Prophet (\ufdfa). To style the hair in a manner that looks irregular is usually practised following trends of non-believers and to fit in with them. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Many Muslims stray from treading the right path and are heedless with regards to many rulings on various issues. If the person is somebody you know or someone who may be unaware of the rulings then you have the choice to subtly and privately advise the person, from one Muslim to another. It\u2019s possible a person may be unaware of the impermissibility of such a hairstyle because they are so occupied in following modern trends. <\/span><\/p>\n

However, you will not be held accountable for the decision or action of another person and looking at the hairstyle on another person is not haram.<\/span><\/p>\n
