Is it permissible to consume broth made from bones of halal animals that were not slaughtered according to Islamic guidelines, considering that bones are inanimate and do not possess life?”<\/span><\/p>\n

Answer:<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

According to the Hanafi School of thought it would not be permissible to consume bone broth from animals that are not slaughtered. Although bones themselves are deemed pure and one is allowed to benefit from them, the bones used to make the broth powder will likely have impure fat and meat on them. This renders the broth impure. (1) even inanimate and do not possess life.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

A safer approach would be to purchase some bones from a halal butcher and make your broth. (2)<\/span><\/p>\n
