I have a lot of Islamic literature lying around in my possession and wish to get rid of them right away as they are not in use anymore.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I know I’m not supposed to throw them away but I wanted to ask if I could cross out the writing to such an extent that it wouldn’t be possible to read it at all, then shred it, and burn it.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I wanted to know whether this is permissible or not as I don’t want to bury them underground at all.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The respectful disposal of Islamic materials, especially those containing Quranic verses, hadiths, or religious content, is essential. Typically, burying or placing the literature in a clean, secure place is recommended.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It is <\/span>not permissible<\/span> to shred literature on which the name of Allah or verses of the Qur\u2019\u0101n and\u00a0 \u1e24ad\u012bth are written. Instead of shredding it, <\/span>one should<\/span> remove with solvent the<\/span> names of Allah, His Angels, his messenger, and the verses of the <\/span>Qur\u2019\u0101n<\/span> and burn the rest. There is also nothing wrong in casting them into flowing water or to bury them, and this is more preferable to do.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
