However, if a person has had a quarrel with their parents, it does not automatically nullify their good deeds such as Salah, Dhikr, or supplications, but it can have spiritual consequences.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\"><b>Importance of Obeying and Respecting Parents in Islam:<\/b><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Islam places great emphasis on being good to one&#8217;s parents. The Qur&#8217;an repeatedly reminds believers to show kindness and respect to their parents, and this is considered a key aspect of one\u2019s faith.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Disobedience or disrespect towards parents is considered a major sin, but that does not mean that it completely nullifies one&#8217;s acts of worship. Rather, the acceptance of one\u2019s good deeds by Allah may be impacted, depending on the severity of the disobedience and the person&#8217;s repentance.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\"><b>Does a Quarrel with Parents Nullify Good Deeds?<\/b><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the Hanafi school of thought, good deeds such as Salah, Dhikr, and Du&#8217;a remain valid as long as the person fulfils the proper conditions for those acts (such as intention, purification, and fulfilling the pillars of Salah).
