I wanna buy a house in the USA, and take it with an APR from a non-Islamic bank, is this halal or haram?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In the name of Allah, the<\/b>\u00a0Most Gracious, the Most Merciful<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Answer:<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Conventional mortgages in the U.S. involve interest, where a bank loans money at a specific interest rate. Riba, or interest, is explicitly prohibited in Islam.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Allah says in the Quran: –<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Those who consume interest will stand \u02f9on Judgment Day\u02fa like those driven to madness by Satan\u2019s touch. That is because they say, \u201cTrade is no different than interest.\u201d But Allah has permitted trading and forbidden interest.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Our Prophet Peace be upon him said: –\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Cursed is the one who accepted interest, the one who paid it, the one who recorded it, and the two witnesses to it, saying they were all alike. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

To conclude, it is haram according to the Quran and Hadith to buy a house on interest.<\/span><\/p>\n
