\n<\/span>If a person remembers he uttered the words of kufr however he does not remember or doubts whether he knew, during the time he uttered those words, that he was uttering the words of kufr or he doubts whether he had the intention of uttering words of kufr at that time, is he still a Muslim?<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Do you intend to ask your Messenger as Moses was asked before? And whoever exchanges faith for disbelief has certainly strayed from the soundness of the way.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Prophet PBUH said,<\/span><\/p>\n

“Verily, Allah is more pleased with the repentance of His slave than a person who has his camel in a waterless desert carrying his provision of food and drink and it is lost. He, having lost all hope (to get that back), lies down in the shade and is disappointed about his camel; when all of a sudden he finds that camel standing before him. He takes hold of its reins and then out of boundless joy blurts out: ‘O Allah, You are my slave and I am Your Rabb’. He commits this mistake out of extreme joy.<\/span>”\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

When words are uttered it is important to know if it was intentionally mentioned words of kufr, then it will remove a person’s imaan (belief) and they will be required to recite the testimony of faith again with full sincerity, conviction and consciousness.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

However, if it is said unknowingly or in a state of duress, then the person uttering it is still a Muslim as the kalimah (testimony of faith) is still in his heart. As a precaution, he may repeat it again to affirm and strengthen his faith.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The person who has doubts regarding uttering words of kufr will still be considered a Muslim and is still a believer as he is unsure whether or not he uttered words of disbelief.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
