What is the fatwa of a person who is unable to make wudu, face the qibla or go to jumma by himself whilst he has someone to assist him, are these acts waived or is it necessary to seek the assistance of a 2nd person?<\/span><\/p>\n

Answer:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

A person who is unable to perform certain acts of worship like wudu and face the qibla due to physical incapacity is required to seek assistance if possible. If a second person is available and willing to assist, the acts are not waived, as fulfilling the obligations of worship remains necessary, provided it is feasible.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Performing Wudu with Assistance: If a person cannot perform Wudu due to physical incapacity but has someone available to assist, they must seek assistance.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Facing the Qibla: Facing the Qibla is a shart (condition) of salah. If the person cannot turn to face the Qibla themselves but has someone who can assist them, it becomes necessary to seek assistance. If even with assistance, facing the Qibla is not possible (e.g., due to severe physical constraints), the obligation is waived, and the prayer can be performed in the person’s current position.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Attending Jumu\u2018ah: Attending Jumu\u2018ah is obligatory for a male adult Muslim, provided he can do so without undue hardship. If a person cannot attend Jumu\u2018ah on their own but can do so with the help of another, it is necessary to seek that assistance.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

However, if the person cannot attend, even with assistance, the obligation to perform Jumu\u2018ah is waived, and they may pray Dhuhr at home instead.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

And again, If a person who is sick is not able to do wudu and has no one who can help him to do it, then he may do tayammum, even by wiping his hands on the wall or the bed, if there is dust on it, or he can keep with him some dust in a vessel or bag to use for tayammum. If he is not able to do tayammum, then he may pray as he is.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The same applies with regard to facing the direction of the qiblah. Whoever is able to do that must do it, but if he is not able to do it, he may pray as he is, because Allah, may He be exalted, says :<\/span>\u0644\u0627<\/span> \u064a\u0643\u0644\u0641<\/span> \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647<\/span> \u0646\u0641\u0633\u0627\u064b<\/span> \u0625\u0644\u0627<\/span> \u0648\u0633\u0639\u0647\u0627<\/span>}.\u00a0 \u201cAllah burdens not a person beyond his scope\u201d [al-Baqarah 2:286].\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
