Question:<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

If someone spoke about issues related to youth education in a particular Masjid and the major improvements needed, if someone expresses how children don\u2019t come to hear about the Deen when there is a games night and study circle, then if a young person says, \u201cthey don\u2019t want to hear the Prophet [\ufdfa], bla bla bla\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

If one hears this talk as one is being addressed by that person and hates that he worded it like that but remained silent and also thought (actively) to himself something like \u2018can \u2018bla bla bla\u2019 be used in a way that isn\u2019t disrespectful\u2019 or \u2018maybe he used it in a way that wasn\u2019t disrespectful perhaps he used it in a way where he didn\u2019t mean it to be linked to the words The Prophet [\ufdfa] said\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n

What would be the ruling on his saying what he said, me remaining silent, continuing to remain in that conversation and also the way I may have tried to make an excuse for him?<\/span><\/p>\n

In the name of Allah, the <\/strong>Most Gracious, the Most Merciful<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Answer<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

If you are in a gathering and someone speaks against the Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him) then: –<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

    \n
  1. One should try to educate them by removing any misconception which he or she may have about Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him).<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Politely make the person aware about the severity of the sin if they mean disrespect or uttering of such words which mean disrespect.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. If that is not possible then one should be firm in keeping the person quiet.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. If one can\u2019t do it, then leave that sitting by informing them of the reason of leaving.<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. By being in the same sitting yet disliking it and doing nothing, means that you have the weakest of eeman.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Our Prophet (peace be upon him) said:<\/span><\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

    ‘Whoever among you sees an evil, let him change it with his hand; if he cannot, then with his tongue; if he cannot, then with his heart- and that is the weakest of Faith.’[i]<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n
