What is our proof to say you must follow the Imam immediately?<\/span><\/p>\n

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Answer:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Hazrat Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cThe imam is appointed to be followed. When he says \u2018Allah is most great,\u2019 say \u2018Allah is most great,\u2019 but do not say it until he has said it. When he bows, bow, but do not bow until he has bowed. And when he says, \u2018Allah listens to the one who praises Him,\u2019 say, \u2018O Allah, our Lord, to You belongs all praise.\u2019\u201d (Sunan Abi Dawud, Hadith 603, Darul Risalah \u2018Alamiyyah, Vol. 1, p. 452)<\/span><\/p>\n

This narration has also been reported by Imam Bukhari, Imam Muslim, Imam Tirmidhi, and Imam Ibn Majah. It has been cited multiple times for various purposes, with slight variations in wording.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In the Arabic text of this hadith, the letter “\u0641” (fa\u2019) is present, which, according to the principles of Hanafi jurisprudence, signifies both immediacy and connection. This indicates that one action should follow another in quick succession without delay.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mir\u02bfat al-Mafatih Sharh Mishkat al-Masabih (3\/123):<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2018When he says the takb\u012br (Allah is the Greatest), then you also say the takb\u012br.\u2019 This is a command for the follower to make their takb\u012br immediately after the imam\u2019s takb\u012br. The follower should not say it before or simultaneously with the imam but only after him, as the letter fa\u2019 (\u0641) indicates immediacy.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
