Fasting Reward when someone eats in front of you.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Based on this, should a \u062d\u0627\u0626\u0636 during Ramadan eat discreetly\u2014such as at a time or place where fasting males are not present\u2014or is it fine\/better for her to eat openly in their presence?<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Similarly, if a Muslim man or woman is in a workplace where non-Muslims eat during lunch hours, can they attain the aforementioned reward in this context by sitting with them?<\/span><\/p>\n

The hadith mentioning reward for when someone eats in front of a fasting person is the following:<\/span><\/p>\n

The Prophet \ufdfa said, \u201cSurely, angels send blessings upon the fasting person when others eat in their presence until they finish.\u201d – [\u0633\u0646\u0646 \u0627\u0644\u062a\u0631\u0645\u0630\u064a\u060c \u0631\u0642\u0645 \u0627\u0644\u062d\u062f\u064a\u062b: \u0667\u0668\u0665]<\/span><\/p>\n

It is recommended that a menstruating woman should carry on as a fasting person when in public\u2014although not obligatory as she is from the category of excused individuals.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Nonetheless, it would be optimal that she eats in privacy as this frees her from any blame or ill-assumptions made by others.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

As for the fasting Muslim man or woman who sits with their non-Muslim co-workers during lunch hours whilst they are eating, then yes, they will gain the rewards mentioned in the hadith.<\/span><\/p>\n
