From the siblings, we are 2 brothers and 1 sister. Initially, we distributed it equally as we were unaware of the rulings but wanted to ask how it should be split. I have also heard our grandmother, who is alive, also gets a share. If you leave only two \u02f9or more\u02fa females, their share is two-thirds of the estate. But if there is only one female, her share will be one-half. Each parent is entitled to one-sixth if you leave offspring, but if you are childless and your parents are the only heirs, then your mother will receive one-third. But if you leave siblings, then your mother will receive one-sixth\u2014after the fulfillment of bequests and debts. \u02f9Be fair to\u02fa your parents and children, as you do not \u02f9fully\u02fa know who is more beneficial to you. \u02f9This is\u02fa an obligation from Allah. Surely Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise. (Surah An-Nisa: 11)<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">You have stated that you have:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Two brothers (yourself and your brother)<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">One sister<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Maternal grandmother<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">According to the Qur&#8217;an (Surah An-Nisa, 4:11-12), the shares are distributed as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Maternal Grandmother&#8217;s Share:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">If the deceased&#8217;s mother (your maternal grandmother) is alive, she is entitled to 1\/6 of the total estate, as stated in the Qur&#8217;an:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">&#8220;For parents, a sixth share of the inheritance to each if the deceased left children&#8230;&#8221; (Surah An-Nisa, 4:11).<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">This includes both property and gold, which must be divided accordingly.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Remaining Estate (After Grandmother\u2019s Share):<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">After allocating 1\/6 to the grandmother, the remainder is distributed among the children:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Sons receive twice the share of daughters as per Surah An-Nisa, 4:11:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">&#8220;The male shall have the share of two females.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">For argument\u2019s sake, let\u2019s assume the gold is worth \u00a32000 (if you haven\u2019t had the gold valued yet, then I advise you to do that first, and there is no other debt to settle), the calculation would be:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Grandmother&#8217;s Share (1\/6): \u00a3333.33<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Remaining for Siblings: \u00a31666.67<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Each Brother&#8217;s Share (2 parts): \u00a3666.67<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Sister&#8217;s Share (1 part): \u00a3333.33<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Which has worked out:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">The grandmother receives 1\/6 of the estate.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">The remaining 5\/6 is distributed among the children, with each brother receiving twice the share of the sister.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;
