Do nebulisers invalidate the fast by agreement, or are they akin to normal inhalers? Opinions from medics would be much appreciated.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Nebulisers create a very fine mist by air compression containing the medication, which is inhaled.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In the books of fiqh, anything that reaches the throat and has benefit in it will break the fast if done intentionally.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

However, due to necessity, in some cases where a person needs it, using it will break the fast, and there will be qadha (cover-up) only.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

If it is used without a need, then along with qadha, one will have to follow it up with kaffarah (expiation).<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n
