{"id":605,"date":"2011-08-20T21:30:02","date_gmt":"2011-08-20T21:30:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/daruliftabirmingham.co.uk\/wp\/?p=605"},"modified":"2011-08-20T21:30:02","modified_gmt":"2011-08-20T21:30:02","slug":"the-injunctions-of-duruud","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/daruliftabirmingham.co.uk\/home\/the-injunctions-of-duruud\/","title":{"rendered":"The injunctions of Duruud"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The injunctions of Duruud<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><strong>In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent, the most Merciful. <\/strong><\/p>\n<h1><strong>Answer <\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>When someone mentions the name of the Prophet of Allah Sallallahu Alahi Wasalam or hears someone mentioning it, reciting the words of sending duruud becomes wajib on him or her.\u00a0 This is the consensus among the majority of Muslim jurists.\u00a0 The reasons are that there are warnings in the Hadith against not reciting the noble duruud when his blessed name is being referred.\u00a0 According to a hadith of Sunan Tirmizi, the Prophet of Allah Sallallahu Alahi Wasalam said \u201cDisgarced is the man before whom I mentioned yet he does not send durrud on me\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>If the Prophet of Allah Sallallahu Alahi Wasalam\u2019s name is made repeatedly in a single sitting, reciting the duruud only once may discharge the obligation.\u00a0 However the desirable act is to recite the noble duruud every time.<\/p>\n<p>The way it is wajib to say duruud vocally at the time one makes his blessed mention verbally, similarly it is also wajib to write duruud with the pen when one uses it at the time of writing.<\/p>\n<p>Using the word (salah) for anyone other than Prophets is not permissible.\u00a0 In his Sunan, Imam Baihaqi has reported the fatwa of Saaiduna Ibn Abbas Radiallahu Anhu as follows: Salah is not sent upon any one except the Prophet of Allah Sallallahu Alahi Wasalam but prayer is made for Muslim men and Muslim women to seek forgiveness for them\u201d.\u00a0\u00a0 (Maariful Quran p.231-p.233 v.7)<\/p>\n<p>Only Allah Knows Best<\/p>\n<p>Mohammed Tosir Miah<\/p>\n<p>Darul Ifta Birmingham<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The injunctions of Duruud In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent, the most Merciful.
