\n\tQuestion:<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tDo we the hanafi has any proof from the authentic ahadith supporting:<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t1) Making the whole body of the mayyit facing the qiblah while it is placed in the qabr. Is it Sunnah muakkadah to do so?<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tAnswer:<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t\"Bismillah\"<\/a>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tIn the name of Allah, the most Beneficent, the most Merciful.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tIt is mentioned in books of jurisprudence that when the deceased is placed in the grave, he\/she will be made to face the Qiblah, upon his right side. (Mukhtasar lil Qudoori pg39, Nur ul Idaah pg131)<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThis is due to a Hadeeth narrated by Sayyidna Umair \"ra\u1e0dyAll\u0101hu. He mentions that the Prophet of Allah \"\u1e63allall\u0101hu has said as part of a longer hadeeth: “The Baitul Haram is your qiblah, alive or dead” (Sunan Abu Dawud p49 v2, Sunan Bayhaqi p573 v3)<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tImam Abu Dawud Rahmatullahi Alaihi after narrating this Hadeeth has not commented on this hadeeth. It is well known amongst the scholars that whenever Imam Abu Dawud Rahmatullahi Alaihi narrates hadeeth and does not comment on it, then it is a sign that this Hadeeth is authentic.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tFrom this Hadeeth we learn that we should make the deceased lie on his right side facing towards the Qiblah.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n
