\n\tQuestion:<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tWhen I came to Jeddah first time for interview in Feb, I didn't assume Ihram from Pakistan or meeqat because I had my interviews. After finishing all interviews, I assumed Ihram from my hotel in Jeddah and performed Umrah. Is it correct? If not then what do i need to do now, I mean dam (sacrifice) etc?<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

    \n\t\t\tThen when I was selected for the job, I permanently moved here in June. Then also when i took flight from Pakistan, I didn't assume ihram from meeqat, infact i just landed in Jeddah and didn't perform any Umrah in the first month. Is it compulsory to assume ihram while crossing meeqat every time even if you don't intend to perform umrah?<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t\t<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    \n\t\t\tAfter the first month or two, I have been performing umrah frequently from here and I always assume ihram from my home in Jeddah, is it correct or I have to go to meeqat to do so?<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t\t<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    \n\t\t\tI have done many Umrahs in my duration here and every time while performing tawaf I use to touch rukun-e-yamani either with one hand (left) or both hands. Is it correct or any penalty (dam or sacrifice) is applicable? If yes then what and how much?<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t\t<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    \n\t\t\tAlso while touching rukun-e-yamani, it happened that i use to face ka'bah (chest facing ka'bah) and\/or at times (due to rush) my back facing ka'bah. I have now read that its Haram or Gunah, can you please elaborate? Do I need to do some sacrifice for this mistake? And if yes then what and how many times? I don't even remember the number of Umrahs I have performed.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t\t<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    \n\t\t\tLastly, I intend to perform Hajj this year, can you please confirm can I assume ihram from my house in Jeddah and what type of Hajj should I perform? Is it mandatory for me to perform hajjul ifrad?<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t\t<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    \n\tAnswer:<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

    \n\t\"Bismillah\"<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

    \n\tIn the name of Allah, the most Beneficent, the most Merciful.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

    \n\tAs your initial visit to Jeddah was for job or interview purposes you do not need to put on an Ihraam. (Aapke Masaail p.109 v.4) <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

    \n\tSecondly, Jeddah is a place which is outside the Haram, so therefore, assuming the Ihraam from Jeddah with the intention of Umrah will be permissible. (Fatawa Rahimiyah p.72 v.8)<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

    \n\tAnswer 2<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

    \n\tAgain as your intention was job and employment related you do not need to enter Jeddah with Ihraam.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

    \n\tAnswer 3<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

    \n\tAnswer is similar to number 1. Your Ihraam from Jeddah will be permissible.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

    \n\tAnswer 4<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

    \n\tIt is Mustuhub to touch and wipe the Rukn al-Yamani with both hands or with just the right hand, without kissing it. If one is not able to touch it, then it is best one does not raise his hands to gesture towards it. (Kitabul Haj p.37)<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

    \n\tIt is against the Sunnah to touch it with your left hand, but there is no Damm in doing so.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

    \n\tAnswer 5<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

    \n\tIt is against the etiquettes of the Tawaf and Makruh to face towards the Kabah or to have ones back towards it. However, there is no Damm or penalty obligatory.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

    \n\tAnswer 6<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

    \n\tThose who are living within the Meeqat in Jeddah like yourself can only perform Hajj Ifraad. It is not permissible for them to perform Hajj Tamattu or Qiran. (Hidayah p.243 v.1 & Fatawa Rahimiyah p.94 v.8)<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n
