\n\tQuestion:<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tMy husband has been out of work for a few years and I have been supporting him as I work full time. I have also been paying off his loans. Now he has bought himself a car on interest based finance so that he can be a taxi driver. I am against interest-based finance. Also he had to insure his car, which also involves interest. Will it be permissible for me and my children to accept earnings from his taxi driver job? <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tWith regards to your question, the nature of your husband’s job is something, which is lawful, therefore, the money in itself is lawful and it will be permissible for you and your children to use it. Your husband will be sinful for buying the taxi on interest.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n
\n\tIn the Holy Qur’an Allah \"sub\u1e25\u0101nahu has said:<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n
\n\t“Allah has permitted transactions and has forbidden riba” (Surah Al Baqarah v.275)<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n
\n\tThe Prophet of Allah \"\u1e63allall\u0101hu has cursed the person who takes interest, who gives interest and who writes it and who witnesses it.” (Mishkaatul-Masabeeh p.244 v.1)<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n
