But we had already given the family of Abraham the Scripture and wisdom and conferred upon them a great kingdom.<\/strong>(Surah Nisaa: 54)<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<h2>\n\t<span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">And (I seek refuge) from the evil of a jealous person when he is jealous. (Surah Falaq: 5)<\/span><\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<\/h2>\n<h2>\n\t<span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">There are two concepts that need to be understood:<\/span><\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<\/h2>\n<h2>\n\t<span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">1.Hasad (jealousy): This is the desire of others being deprived of good fortune and blessings bestowed up them by Allah, even though the jealous person does not receive the same blessings.This is considered evil and impermissible.<\/span><\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<\/h2>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">Az-Zubair bin Al-&#39;Awwam narrated that the Prophet (s.a.w) said:&quot;<strong>The disease of the nations before you is creeping towards you: Jealousyand hatred, it is the shaver. I do not speak of what cuts the hair, but what severs the religion. By the One in Whose Hand is my soul! You will not enter Paradise until you believe, and you will not believe until you love each other. Shall I tell you about what will strengthen that for you? Spread the Salam among each other.<\/strong>&quot; (Sunan At-Tirmizhi: 2510)<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">In the above Hadith, the Prophet <img title=\"\u1e63allall\u0101hu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of All\u0101h be upon him)\" alt=\"\u1e63allall\u0101hu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of All\u0101h be upon him)\" class=\"islamic_graphic\" src=\"https:\/\/daruliftabirmingham.co.uk\/wp-content\/plugins\/islamic-graphics\/img\/black\/20\/saw.png\" height=\"12px\">&nbsp;has taught us the method of removing thisevil and the method of creating love for one another by spreading thesalam (peace). (TuhafatulAhwazi, Page 1944, BaytulAfkar Ad-Dawliyyah)<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">It was the advice of my beloved teachers for the removal of jealousy that the one harbouring jealousy in his heart against another should make dua that Allah increases that person in that particularblessingand along with that to grant that person the same blessings.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<h2>\n\t<span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">2.Ghibtah (envy): This is the desire of receiving the same blessings of others without entertaining the thought of it being taken away from the other. This is not only permissible but rather desirable. Ma&rsquo;ariful Quran, Volume 8, Page 924)<\/span><\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<\/h2>\n<h2>\n\t<span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">A person&rsquo;s jealousy will not become harmful until he expresses his jealousy in action or speech.
