Question

What value will you stipulate when giving a car in Zakat? (Retail or Trade-in)

In The Name Of Allah, The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful

Answer:

There is no zakah payment due on items used for personal needs, like a car. [1] Therefore, if you trade in the car or sell it, no zakah will be required on it.
