Is it permissible to use condoms in Islam not to control birth but to delay making a baby after 1 delivery?
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Coitus interruptus is permissible in Islam. This was practiced by the Companions. Jābir (RA) said: We used to practice coitus interruptus during the lifetime of Allah’s Messenger (PBUH) while the Qur’an was being revealed. The same ruling applies to the use of condoms.
However, birth control without a valid reason is makruh tanzihan (lightly disliked).
