Question

Can I pray Asr prayer with Zuhr prayer together and what will be my intention time for Zuhr prayer?

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيْم

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer

Allah Ta’ala states in the Qur'an;

إِنَّ الصَّلَاةَ كَانَتْ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ كِتَابًا مَوْقُوتًا

Indeed salaah has been made obligatory for the Mu’mineen at fixed hours (and can therefore not be brought forward). [Surah Nisaa, 103]

From the above verse, it is apparent that every salaah must be prayed in its respective time. According to the Hanafi madhab, combining prayers at one time is not permissible. [1]
