Question:

I read on Islam QA that when wiping over the socks for wudoo (masah), one should wipe over both of them at the same time. However, I wanted to know if it is possible for me to wipe over one sock at a time, starting with the right foot.

Answer:

It is permissible to do masah the khuffain at once or one after the other. (Ilmul Fiqh p.77 v.1)

It should be borne in mind that by the word socks we refer to leather socks and not nylon socks.
