If a woman is having a hard time getting aroused and the couple resorts to sex aid like a vibrator, does the condition apply that it should only be used during the intercourse? It is hard for a husband to hold such an object at all times. Is it permissible for one’s husband to use a vibrator to help his wife orgasm either before or after the intercourse? Note that it is used as a last resort and is not used as a general practice.

They will be permissible if the toys are not harmful in any way to the spouses; they must not have an animate figure element and should not be inserted into the inner-private part of the women, rather such toys should be used do stimulate the outer private part such as the clitoris. It is not permissible to insert it into the woman’s anus.
Furthermore, the toys should be used to pleasure the spouse only. One is not allowed to use the toys by themselves as this will be like masturbation. Also, if there is a danger that by using the toys the spouses may begin to use them in private, then it will be best to completely avoid purchasing such products.
