Question:

My question is that many young muslims go on holiday two or even three times a year and when you say to them you should save this money and go for Hajj which is compulsory. The answer is it is too expensive. Surely, they should be saving this money and making every effort to complete what is compulsory.

What answer are they going to give to Allah? Please advise how we can persuade them to complete their compulsory duty.

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

Hajj is compulsory for the one who has the means financial and physical, therefore it should be given priority over other luxuries. You can advise them and make them aware that it is more important than other activities as saving money for hajj, one is striving to fulfil his obligations which is fard ayn.
