Question:

 

Is losing a blessing due to sinning and being ungrateful for it ? What can I do to make things right?

 

 

 

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

 

Answer:

 

Indeed a person will be deprived of blessing and goodness when he engage in sin and disobedience. In the Quran Allah says (Surah Mutaffifeen ayah 17):

 

“No! But that which they used to commit has covered their hearts with rust”.

 

Based on this when there is load of sins, it eclipsed the light and innate capacity to separate the right and the wrong. The heart will be blackened and will not be receptive to good. To make things right, firstly leave out sin, have remorse and regret, have a firm resolution not to sin again. Secondly be in the company of the pious.
