Hypothetically speaking, if the Nisab is £1000 and a person has £900, but the nature of his work is that he gets paid weekly on a Friday so he works a week then he gets the paycheck the following week, therefore if he has worked a week and has completed it and is waiting for the paycheck to come which would mean he would meet the Nisab amount, would he wait for the date he gets paid to consider it as the date he starts his Zakah year or because he is expecting the money to come, does he consider his Zakah year to begin even before getting the paycheck?

Answer:
وعليكم السلام ورحمة الله وبركاته
Zakah is compulsory upon every believer, whether male or female, if they have enough wealth that meets the minimum criteria for actually giving zakah, which is called the Nisaab.
This wealth has to be from one’s savings, whether that is money, gold or silver. You would have to take out the debts and expenditure from the equation. If the person has had the minimum Nisaab for an Islamic year (i.e. according to the lunar calendar), they would have to give 2.5% zakah of that wealth.
In your scenario, if for example the Nisaab is thought of to be £1000 and he has £900 in his savings, from the time he receives the £100 so it adds up to £1000, that will be the time from whence he will calculate his Zakah year.
If he meets the Nisaab, for example, on the 20th of Ramadan this year, then the next year on the 19th of Ramadan he will have to see how much wealth he has and then give zakah on that.
