If my family doesn't get along well with other relatives, for example, if my family doesn't get along well with my father's brothers, can we stay away from them? Is that allowed? What's the remedy for it? The family always end up fighting for small issues or they don't respect each other at all.

Family ties are very important in Islam. Allah (swt) orders us in the Holy Qur'an to maintain family ties.

"Worship Allah and associate nothing with Him, and to parents do good, and to relatives, orphans, the needy, the near neighbour, the neighbour farther away, the companion at your side, the traveller, and those whom your right hands possess. Indeed, Allah does not like those who are self-deluding and boastful." (Surah Nisaa 36)

Also in Surah Nahl 90: ”Indeed, Allah orders justice and good conduct and giving to relatives and forbids immorality and bad conduct and oppression. He admonishes you that perhaps you will be reminded.”

It is narrated from Jubair bin Mut'im that he heard the Prophet (s.a.w) saying, "The person who severs the bond of kinship will not enter Paradise."[1]

It is also narrated from Abu Huraira that he heard Allah's Messenger (s.a.w) saying, "Whoever is pleased that he be granted more wealth and that his lease of life is prolonged, then he should keep good relations with his kin."[2]

Try to maintain family ties and ignore their bad actions. Whatever happens, remind yourself that you are doing it for the sake of Allah (swt). Put your trust to him and hope that He (swt) will reward you for this.
