Question:

I am a 17-year-old boy who started masturbation at the age of 14. I cannot stop. Can you give me a Wazifa and advice to help stop this act? I don’t want to ruin my life.

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

The act of masturbation is a very evil and an undesirable act. One should avoid doing it. Since such an act not only harms you spiritually but it causes harm to a person physically and mentally. For this reason, doing such acts are prohibitively disliked in Islam and are sinful.

You should avoid doing such an act and repent to Allah. Try and do more optional fast during the days as this will help you to overcome your desires.

“ويشمل قوله وراء ذلك الزنا واللواط ومواقعة البهائم والاستمناء ومعنى وراء ذلك وراء هذا الحد الذي حد من الأزواج ومملوكات النساء، وانتصابه على أنه مفعول بابتغى أي خلاف ذلك…والجمهور على تحريم ‌الاستمناء ويسمى الخضخضة وجلد عميرة يكنون عن الذكر بعميرة.”

«حاشية ابن عابدين = رد المحتار ط الحلبي» (4/ 27):

«(قَوْلُهُ الِاسْتِمْنَاءُ حَرَامٌ) أَيْ بِالْكَفِّ إذَا كَانَ لِاسْتِجْلَابِ الشَّهْوَةِ، أَمَّا إذَا غَلَبَتْهُ الشَّهْوَةُ وَلَيْسَ لَهُ زَوْجَةٌ وَلَا أَمَةٌ فَفَعَلَ ذَلِكَ لِتَسْكِينِهَا فَالرَّجَاءُ أَنَّهُ لَا وَبَالَ عَلَيْهِ كَمَا قَالَهُ أَبُو اللَّيْثِ، وَيَجِبُ لَوْ خَافَ الزِّنَا (قَوْلُهُ كُرِهَ) الظَّاهِرُ أَنَّهَا كَرَاهَةُ تَنْزِيهٍ؛ لِأَنَّ ذَلِكَ بِمَنْزِلَةِ مَا لَوْ أَنْزَلَ بِتَفْخِيذٍ أَوْ تَبْطِينٍ تَأَمَّلْ وَقَدَّمْنَا عَنْ الْمِعْرَاجِ فِي بَابِ مُفْسِدَاتِ الصَّوْمِ: يَجُوزُ أَنْ يَسْتَمْنِيَ بِيَدِ زَوْجَتِهِ أَوْ خَادِمَتِهِ، وَانْظُرْ مَا كَتَبْنَاهُ هُنَاكَ (قَوْلُهُ وَلَا شَيْءَ عَلَيْهِ) أَيْ مِنْ حَدٍّ وَتَعْزِيرٍ، وَكَذَا مِنْ إثْمٍ عَلَى مَا قُلْنَاهُ»
