Question:

If a person’s esha salah was invalid does that mean he has to repeat his entire tarweeh salah?

In the name of Allah, the  Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

If the esha salah is invalid, then the taraweeh prayer performed after it is also invalid. This is because the taraweeh salah is considered a prayer that follows esha. If the esha salah is invalid, the taraweeh salah that follows it would also be invalid. Hence, both should be repeated[i].

If the obligatory prayer is invalid, then the voluntary prayer following it is also invalid.
