Question:

If someone puts a bandage on his foot or face due to a cut in ihraam, does he have to give fidya for it?

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

Regarding applying a bandage to the face, if it covers less than a quarter of the face or is worn for less than a day, Sadaqah would be Waajib, otherwise, Dam would be Waajib (Al Muhit Al Burhani, Vol 3, Pg 430). Similarly, if the bandage on the foot covers the ankles and the upper middle part of the foot, then compensation will need to be paid, as those areas must be left uncovered.
